Roots Wellness Center is proud to share that our founder, Katy Armendariz, has been honored with the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Award for Social Justice by the National Association of Social Workers – Minnesota Chapter.
This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to social justice, community advocacy, and compassionate leadership. Katy was recognized for her crisis response work and leadership through Roots Wellness Center, supporting individuals and families through trauma-informed, culturally responsive behavioral health services.
